BSB41415 - Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety

The Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety provides the opportunity for people with a WHS responsibility to understand and practice the principles behind key WHS processes as well as develop a WHS career path. Candidates generally undertake this qualification because they have responsibility for managing a range of WHS issues within their workplace relating to work teams and individuals.

This qualification is also very suitable for people looking to move into the field of WHS. This is a growing field with many opportunities for making positive and significant changes to the work place and securing a long term career.

There is a growing acknowledgement of the importance of quality WHS practice to support the welfare of workers, the profitability of organisations and legal compliance.


This program is delivered over 8 days, with students attending one day of training each fortnight over 8 sessions. A ninth optional session is available for opportunities to work on assignments and receive feedback and assistance. This mode of delivery allows for participants to absent themselves from their workplace for manageable periods and receive direct support throughout the course. The balance of the assessments is completed in the following 12 weeks, after session 8.

Recognition of prior learning is also available. We also offer significant discounts for construction workers and their employers through the industry training fund.

Payment is to be made in two instalments. The first instalment is $1500, and the second $900. The second payment is due 8 weeks from enrolment.
